Aesthetic experiences |
|
Most of the Reiki
practitioners find that while giving Reiki, the most common feelings they get are
sensations in their hands. The sensations are of heat, tingling, pins and needles, etc.
Sometimes while treating very sick people, the hands of the Reiki Master may feel the
sensations of an electrical current flowing. It is not necessary that the sensations
should be felt for obtaining results. It differs from subject to subject and from
treatment to treatment.
Reiki does not give rise to any sensations on it's own, but what the patient feels depends
upon how his body and mind are reacting to the Reiki energy. Reiki is flowing through the
practitioner's hands, enters the patient's body and then polarizes. When it is polarizing,
it produces certain reactions by the body mind complex of the receiver and depending on
factors like the sensitivity of the receiver, the state of his health, the state of
spiritual evolution that the person is in, etc. all determine what kind of experiences the
patient could get or expect to get. The same person might get different sensations at
different times, through different Reiki practitioners' hands.

Reiki flows on it's own |
|
Whenever a Reiki Master or
student thinks about Reiki, it starts flowing. This means that they start getting those
specific sensations in their body especially in their hands. They do not have any control
on its flow.

Reiki flows according to the need of the
receiver |
|
It is also an interesting and
positive observation that more difficult the disease-case that the Reiki practitioner is
handling the greater is the flow of Reiki. It appears as if Reiki is conscious of herself
and knows that the patient needs more. It functions according to it's own laws. The
greater the degree of disharmony, the greater the quantity of Reiki flows in to the
patient's body.

Reiki flows uniformly in the Reiki
masters' body |
|
While giving Reiki, anyone
touching the Reiki masters' body can also feel the flow of Reiki. Reiki flows uniformly
throughout the body. Whether Reiki is given with one hand or the other or may be with both
the hands, the Reiki flow will be similar and homogenous everywhere.

Reiki does not get exhausted |
|
Reiki masters may treat even
100 patients a day, their Reiki would not get exhausted. It has been observed that in
other energy healing systems, the prana of the person who is treating the patients gets
depleted. The more number of sick patients the practitioner has to deal with, greater the
exhaustion he experiences. The vitality of the practitioner and the store of his pranic
energy becomes a sole important factor in the effectiveness of the treatment. Whenever the
prana is depleted, he has to recharge the body to restore it otherwise the further
treatment would not be effective and there is a risk of the practitioner falling sick.

A sick practitioner also can heal others |
|
As said above in other pranic
healing systems even if the practitioner is in his best positive health, he feels low
after treating others. Clinical observation shows the exact opposite phenomenon in Reiki.
Even if the Reiki healer were physically sick, he would be able to heal better than any
other practitioner. This indicates that Reiki is truly non-physical in nature.

Non-humans respond to Reiki |
|
Animals are innocent
creatures. They respond very well to positive emotions like love and affection. They do
not have mental blocks and generally they do not suffer from undue mental stress. Hence
animals respond to Reiki better than humans. It is inversely proportional to the degree of
domestication of the animal. The more domesticated an animal is, the less responsive it
will be to Reiki. The reason for this is that pets do take on the stress of their owners.

Reiki healers can treat themselves |
|
Psychiatrists, Cardiologists
lay less stress on preventive aspects of medicine with their self and others alike. Even
if they preach those to others, they do not practice it themselves. This is one of the
best advantages of being a Reiki healer, that first he has to practice what he is going to
teach. Unless and until you cure yourself of the blocks in your energy system you do not
proceed in healing others.
For Reiki practitioners, the time spent in self treatment is one of the greatest luxuries
of life.

Reiki has no sex, caste, creed,
nationality or religion bar |
|
Reiki could be taught to a
person of any sex, caste, creed and religion or cult. Age wise, the person should be
mature enough to use Reiki in the right way. Anybody and everybody can be initiated to
Reiki. Reiki is beyond cults.

You have Reiki for life |
|
Once you are initiated in to
Reiki, it flows forever in your body. If properly initiated, you do not have to get
initiated again. Even if you miss practicing Reiki for a few days, months or years, you
can feel it flowing through your body again when you restart giving it to yourself.
