HINDUISM


Hinduism is the most ancient religion. It gets its guidance from the vedas, Upanishads, Sutra Epics and Granthas. Hinduism incorporates all forms of belief and worships without necessitating the selection or elimination of any. The core of Hinduism does not depend on the existence or non existence of God or on whether there is one God or many.

Hindus generally accept various doctrines like

a.

Doctrine of Atma and Brahma
The Brahma is in all things and is the self (Atma) of all living beings. Brahman is the creator, preserver or transformer and reabsorber of everything.

b.

Doctrine of transmigration and rebirth
This doctrine is complementary to the belief in karma. The previous deeds acts as the factor that determines the condition into which a being is reborn in one form or another. The whole process of rebirth is called samsara.


The four ends in life

1.

Dharma (Righteousness) - denotes traditional duties and adherence to righteousness.

2.

Artha (Wealth) - Is not an end in itself but a means to an end.

3.

Kama (Pleasure) - denotes physical desires and passions of individuals.

4.

Moksha (Salvation) - Moksha, find liberation of the soul from like bondage of the finite body. It is the ultimate goal of any Hindu.


The method to attain Moksha can be obtained from a Guru, the intermediary who represents god, a learned intellectual, dispels the disciples spiritual ignorance.
