THE YELLOW SOCKS

Ted's cousin Harry was getting married in a few days. Ted decided that he wanted to wear his favorite pair of socks to the wedding. The socks were the brightest yellows that one could ever see. Ted's mother was extremely angry and she refused to let Ted wear h8is yellow socks to the wedding. She said that the wedding was a formal family occasion and he had to be dresses well. Ted's sister Jessica also complained about his socks. She said that when Ted wore his socks, he looked like a football player and Jessica said that Ted would be an embarrassment to the family if he wore his bright yellow socks to the wedding. Finally Ted tried his luck with his father and asked him if he could wear the yellow socks. His father absolutely refused to let him wear the socks and he asked Ted to dress up decently and wear white socks. Ted immediately started grumbling. He said that his face was white and so were his hands and feet. He wanted to look different and besides that, his yellow pair of socks was his favourite pair. Ted decided to drop the matter of the yellow socks till the day of the wedding. When Ted was getting dresses for the wedding he put on a pair of clean white socks, but he asked Jessica to hide the yellow socks under her hat. Off he went to the wedding with is parents, feeling mighty pleased with himself. During the ceremony whilst the choir was singing, Ted removed his white socks. Getting the yellow socks from Jessica's hat proved to be quite a problem and was easier said than done. Finally when every one knelt down at the pew, Ted managed to get the socks from Jessica's hat and he quickly wore them. After the ceremony, when the bride and groom were walking down the isle, Ted, Jessica and their parents followed them. Outside the chapel they all decided to take a family photograph, when Ted's mother finally noticed the yellow socks. She looked at him and was totally disgusted and shocked at his behavior. She began to scream at him and scold him. In the meantime all the other family members were getting ready to pose for a photograph. Just before the photographer could say "cheese" and click the snap, the bridegroom suddenly lifted his legs and raised his trousers a little to display a bright pair of yellow socks which were identical to the pair that Ted had on his feet. WOW that was quite an amusing family photograph that was taken then.
