DISAPPEARING DAISY

Janet had a beautiful doll called Daisy who had two long pigtails and beautiful caramel coloured skin. The only sad part was that except a long white night dress, Daisy didn't have any other clothes.

One morning, Janet put her teddy and Daisy in the doll's pram and went for a walk. After she returned, she went to wash her hands and she left her pram in the garden. When she came back, Daisy was missing from the pram. Janet looked everywhere but alas she could not find Daisy. She asked her mother if she had seen Daisy. She looked under all the beds and cupboards to see if daisy had somehow reached there. Janet wondered how was it possible for Daisy to just disappear. She even asked her mother if Daisy knew how to walk or fly.

That afternoon Janet was extremely upset. Daisy had been missing for hours. She was sitting in a very glum mood in the garden that afternoon when the Willy the postman came in to deliver the mail. Janet even asked Willy if he could find out where Daisy had disappeared because Willy visited all the houses in the neighbor hood to deliver mail. Willy promised to try and help her and then he went off on his route to deliver mail. When she went to her room to wash up before tea, Janet was delighted to see Daisy sitting on her bed. Daisy was sitting there peacefully as if she had never been anywhere and had just been on her bed all day long.

The next day after Janet came back from her walk with teddy and Daisy, once again Daisy disappeared. Janet was terribly upset. She couldn't seem to understand why her doll kept disappearing. That afternoon all throughout tea she kept quiet and did not say a word. When Grandma asked her what the problem was, Janet told her about her Daisy doll that kept disappearing. Grandma took Janet upto her room after tea, and there on Grandma's bed was sitting Daisy looking as beautiful as ever. She had on a beautiful pink dress with a little red coat. There was a brightly coloured bonnet and her hair and Daisy was wearing the prettiest little pink and white socks with little shoes on her feet. Seeing Daisy, Janet was delighted and she went and jumped into her grandma's arms and enveloped her in a huge bear hug. Grandma had decided to stitch clothes for Daisy and she wanted to keep it a surprise. That is why she kept taking the Daisy doll away to take her measurements and to ensure a proper fitting of the clothes. Now since Grandma had finishes stitching the clothes, Janet took Daisy to her bedroom and after that she played with her doll all evening.
