WEEK 21
By this point in your pregnancy the fetal digestive system has developed enough to allow the fetus to swallow amniotic fluid. This is a crucial time for sensory development. Different organ systems within the baby are maturing and developing. The crown to rump length of the baby is about 7.2 inches . It is about the size of a banana. The baby weighs about 10.5 ounces (300 gms).

WEEK 22
Your baby continues to grow and is getting larger everyday. Your baby's eyelid and even the eyebrows are developed. Finger nails can also be seen. Organ systems in your baby are becoming specialized for their particular functions. An important function of the liver is the break down and handling of bilirubin. The fetal liver has a limited capacity to convert bilirubin and remove it from fetal bloodstream. A new born body, a premature baby with high bilirubin may exhibit jaundice. The crown to rump length is 7.6 inches and the baby weighs about 12.25 ounces (350 gms).

WEEK 23
The body of the baby is getting more plump, but the skin is still fairly wrinkles. This is because of lack of subcutaneous fat. At this point, the face and body of the baby assume more of the appearance of an infant. The pancreas is developing in your baby and is very important in the production of insulin. The crown to rump length is 8 inches (20 cms). Your baby weighs 1 pound (400 gms). Your baby is about size of a small doll.

WEEK 24
Your baby is filling out. Its face and body look more like that of an infant at time of birth. Blood vessels in the lungs are developing to prepare for breathing. Although your baby can swallow, he will not any stool until birth. The crown to rump length is about 8.4 inches (21 cms). The baby weighs about 1.2 pounds (530 gms)
