Person to person

| Incubation
Period |
2 days, usually
follows a cold or flu. |
| Treatment
|

Steam vapouriser or
steam inhalation. |

Follow up with a
humidifier. |

Call the doctor if the
above treatment fails, or if one suspects an inhaled object. |

| Diet
|
Reduce intake of dairy
products especially if the mucus is thick. |

May repeat in children
