It is not unusual for a baby to have a
fussy period during the late afternoon or evening. Try to give your baby plenty of stimulation during the day
and limit naps to 2 to 3 hours at a time.
If the baby wakes during the night try not to make a fuss, feed the baby quickly or
quietly without talking.
Always put the baby to sleep on firm
mattresses or other firm surface, as soft bedding can cover an infants nose and mouth
leading to suffocation.
However, there are certain medical conditions that require the babies to sleep on the
stomachs.
