GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT - Dr. L. Nagpal


Physical Development:
a. The child starts to jump and by the end of 3 years can do a broad jump.
b. The child can balance on each foot for 2 seconds.
c. The child can wash and dry hands.
d. The child  puts  on   an  article of clothing like  a t-shirt.

e. The child can brush his teeth with some help.


Mental Development:

a. The child follows a 2 step command without gestures.
b. The child can name 6 body parts.
c. The child can identify 4 pictures by name.
d. The child identifies one to four colors.
e. The child can count one block.
f. The child can copy a circle.


Language Development:

a. The child uses many single words.
b. The child may start combining words.


Social Development:

a. The child carries on a conversation of 2-3 sentences.
b. The child Identifies a friend by name.
c. The child can speak and be understood half the time.
