CHINESE STUFFED MUSHROOM

Serves : 8

Ingredients :
500 gms medium sized mushrooms

Fillings :
250 gm Kheema / Paneer / Soya bean
1/2 capsicum
1 stick celery
1/2 " ginger
2 tsp soya sauce
1 egg white (optional)
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp cornflour
4 to 5 pieces of crushed garlic

Batter :
1/2 cup cornflour
1/2 cup plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup milk

Procedure :
1. Remove stems from mushrooms finely chop stems add to prepared stuffing, mix well.
2. Mix well all the ingredients of stuffing in a bowl.Fill stuffing into the cavity of mushrooms. Mound the filling in the centre.
3. To make the batter , shift dry ingredients into a bowl. Make a well in the centre and gradually add milk and water mix to a smooth batter. Coat mushrooms and flour seasoned with salt and pepper. Dip in prepared batter
4. Put mushrooms a few at a time into deep hot oil. Fry until golden brown and cooked through approx. 5 minutes.
