Phone manners
Teaching phone skills is usually an easy task, since most children are eager to use this
instrument " whose calling please", " Please hold on", "May I
speak to Karan" are few examples of phone manners. |

Entertaining Guest or Friends
To teach your child to be a good host, prompt him to tell what he likes about playing at
his friend's place, for example, does he like when his friend lets him play with his
favourite battery operated car. Remind him to do the same when his friend is over. |

Listen to your child
Children who are listened to, make better listeners and being a good listener is a part of
being poute person. |

Keep the pressure off
Children who are punished for not saying " Thank you " or "Sorry" or
for not using a fork may learn manner quickly or may reject them completely. They would
not feel positive about manners and are likely to ignore them completely. |

Prepare your child for any
situation
Be it visiting Aunt Radha's place, or going to a restaurant, or spending a day at a
friend's place, be sure your child is equipped with an understanding of appropriate
manners for each of these events. |

Provide a prompt
It your child forgets to says " No thank you " or forgets to place his napkin on
his lap you should, quietly lean over and remind him to do so. |
